Development Outsourcing Agreement for Teleoperation and Automation with ITOCHU TC Construction Machinery
ARAV Co., Ltd. and ITOCHU TC Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. signed a development outsourcing agreement for the practical application of remote control for construction machinery.
Given the increase in extreme weather disasters, teleoperation is vital for sites too dangerous for human entry.
Based on ARAV’s retrofit technology and supported by the Chiba Boso Skill Center, ITOCHU TC aims for the early commercialization of disaster-response systems. Having already commercialized real-time internet-based operation, the company plans demonstration tests with fire departments and local governments, and seeks to build comprehensive systems integrating drone footage and local networks.
This initiative was featured on the front page of the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun on Oct 30.
