Q.Please tell us about your career.

My career is somewhat unique. In university, I was in a sports-related department aiming to become a professional basketball player.
However, I didn’t pass the pro test and started working as a chiropractor.
Later, I started my own business, but it didn’t work out, so I joined a meritocratic IT company for corporate sales. While building my career there, I was invited to help launch a manufacturer’s sales force.
Later, a director I worked for moved to another company and offered me a role to lead their internal DX.
There, I managed a DX-driven business reform project involving the entire company.
After gaining these various experiences, I was invited by the CFO of ARAV Inc., which led to my joining.

Q. What was your motivation for joining ARAV Inc.?

The CFO who invited me was a former boss from a previous company.
ARAV Inc. was still a startup in the stage of building its sales organization, and he wanted me to join that process.
Initially, I had no intention of changing jobs, but a casual interview with the CEO, Shiroku, sparked my interest.
Although I had no knowledge of the construction industry, the business seemed fascinating.
I was convinced it would grow because it provides solutions directly addressing industry challenges. The prospect of an IPO was also a major attraction.
While joining a startup involves risks, I was more drawn to the potential of ARAV Inc.
and decided to join.

Q.Please tell us about the projects you are currently working on.

When I joined ARAV Inc., there was no sales organization.
As the business expanded, I was tasked with building one immediately.
Previously, the CEO and engineers handled sales, but many opportunities were being missed.
I hired new dedicated sales staff with technical aptitudes and established a team. As a playing manager, I visit customers across Japan to propose solutions.
While building from zero has its “growing pains,” it’s exciting to shape the business as I see fit. The high value of our solutions often leads to enthusiastic customer responses, which motivates me.
Currently, we provide systems through custom development, but I am also creating the scheme to scale the business through mass production as a product.

Q.Please tell us about your future dreams and vision.

The market for Teleoperation and autonomous construction machinery is expanding, and competitors are emerging.
To win, we must stay ahead of others. I want to strengthen our sales structure to approach customers with more speed.
I’m considering various models, including using distributors in addition to direct sales. I find great fulfillment in being able to build our sales mechanisms from a broad perspective.
I want to help ARAV Inc. grow toward an IPO, and personally, I aim to eventually start my own business and achieve an IPO to bring new value to society, becoming someone who can succeed in such challenges repeatedly.
